living in Japan as a PUNKS for 3.5 decades
and working for 16 years as a professional trademark attorney.
PUNKS TRADEMARK ATTORNEY is an “Alternative Space”
launched as a strictly DIY & Non-Profit One-Man Army Project,
separate from the patent firm with which I am associated.

I entered my late 20s while still living almost half as a part-timer and half as a low-income musician,
and after completing my master’s degree, I found myself wondering, “So, how am I supposed to make a living from here on out?”
With absolutely no clue, I fell into a serious “27 crisis”, but somehow, I was allowed to survive.
And then, at the very end of the journey, I discovered the profession of patent / trademark attorney
As a musician, I’ve always had a strong interest in copyright law,
and because of my lifelong passion for fashion —which has held my interest just as much as music—
I also felt a strong curiosity about trademarks and design rights.
The profession of patent / trademark attorney, which specializes in intellectual property,
seemed to me to be the very place where my various interests converged.
At the patent firm where I began my career, there were few design-related cases,
so I ended up becoming deeply involved in trademark practice;
as a result, I built my identity as a trademark-specialized patent attorney,
which I continue to uphold to this day.
Having worked on numerous projects for apparel companies of all sizes,
I consider trademark strategy and brand protection in the apparel industry to be one of my strengths,
as they align with my personal interests.
I am certain that these experiences will be of great benefit to my future work
as kzszk a.k.a. PUNKS TRADEMARK ATTORNEY.
